Scottish Lawyers' European Group

About

The Scottish Lawyers’ European Group (SLEG) was set up in 1973 to enable practising lawyers in Scotland – solicitors, advocates, trainees, law students and academic lawyers – to develop and maintain their interests in European law and in other European legal systems.

Membership is open to:

  1. Lawyers, within the meaning of Directive 77/249/EEC to facilitate the effective exercise by lawyers of freedom to provide services and all academic lawyers
  2. Trainee solicitors, intrants to the Faculty of Advocates and law students
  3. Firms of solicitors in Scotland, or such other unincorporated or corporate bodies
