Muriel Robison will be speaking on the topic of “The Equality Act 2010: Will an new Article 13 Directive means yet more changes to UK equality law”.
Muriel Robison graduated LLB Hons from Edinburgh University in 1986. She is a qualified solicitor, having completed the Diploma in Legal Practice at Edinburgh University in 1987. Full-time Masters of Business Administration (Strathclyde University) 1993.
Employed Equal Opportunities Commission, Scotland 1994- 2007, as Director of Legal Affairs Scotland. Transferred October 2007 to Equality and Human Rights Commission as Head of Commission Enforcement to December 2009.
While employed at the Commission, graduated BA (Hons) with the Open University 2001. Awarded honorary doctor of laws from University of Glasgow 2005. Completed LLM Human Rights Law at Glasgow Graduate School of Law 2006.
Part-time lecturer Glasgow University 2007 to date. Fee-paid employment judge from October 2009 to date. Co-editor Greens Employment Law Bulletin January 2010 to date.
